civil Wedding in the House of Saxe-Weimar.-Eisenach

The designated head of the House of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach Prince Georg-Constantin married in Weimar. Mayor Stefan Wolf married Prince Georg Constantin  of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach and the Englishwoman Olivia Rachelle Page on Saturday  29.08. in th Interim e town hall at the Herderplatz. Because the bride still does not speak German, Wolf held the speeches in English. He was  assisted at the ceremony by  the registrar Andrea Pfeifer.
Born in Munich in 1977 the bridegroom is the nephew of the incumbent head of the House, Prince Michael NBenecict of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach Duke of Saxony. Because in the House of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, only men are entitled to inherit, Georg-Constantin will follow as the next male relative to Michael Benedikt at the top.
Georg-Constantin had said before the ceremony that he had felt since his first visit in 1986 in Weimar very at home. Since it was his desire at least to get married in a civil ceremony in Weimar. The church wedding will take place next year in England. He lives with his wife, who was born in 1979 in London. Both work in the financial industry, he is specialized in renewable energy projects. As Wolf said in his Traurede, both have met in the "Last Night of the Proms", the final concert of a traditional summer concert series in London.
The current head of the family Michael Benedict had renounced 2004 to the return immensely valuable cultural assets in favor of the Free State of Thuringia. Among them were stocks of the residence castle and the Goethe and Schiller Archive.
